Auf Wiedersehen

We're off to Christmas with my family. Ben and I are leaving from my grandmother's house Friday to fly to Vienna for our 5th anniversary/real honeymoon. I'll be back with tons of pictures. Don't worry about Aidan she's going to be spoiled beyond belief by both sets of grandparents. Happy Holidays!

Graduation

Today I officially graduated from OU with my master's. Instead of paying money to sit around and listen to a boring speech I spent the day going to my wonderful friend Morgandi's baby shower. When I got home Ben had decorated the house with pictures of libraries and was in the middle of making a Mexican feast! My parents, brother and sister and brother-in-law all came over and the Stansberry's surprised me on their way home from Elk City. I had such a fun night!

Today was a little anticlimatic since the most stressful part of grad school was over in October. These are the pictures of OU I took on the day I took comps. The sun was just about to rise. You have to take comps early!

Bizzell Library, where appropriately enough the library school is located and I took all of my classes.

I always hung out in this garden before my classes.

Before I took my test I went up into the great reading room (it's a little Harry Potter). It was completely empty and I sat there and said a little prayer.

My graduation cake from my mom.

Aidan and Vivian had so much fun playing.

Thank you for being a friend.....

Last night I laughed more than I have in a long time. I am so grateful for great friends who make me laugh til I cry (Anna Jane!). I've had a weird couple of months and I just can't be thankful enough for Anna Jane, Mandy, Aubrie, Angie, Olivia, Casey and Carol. We have so much fun together on our girls nights. I know that every time we get together that two things will happen: someone will say something entirely inappropriate (and it is certainly never me) and I will laugh until my stomach hurts.

And to my girls who live in the north, south, east, and west, Morgandi, Tams, Jayna, and Lailah; every time I get to see you its like we haven't skipped a single beat. I love you girls!

Aubs has pictures of our fun night.

1st official haircut

Aidan had her first official haircut with Katie last Tuesday. I don't think me haphazardly removing her mullet when she was 5 months old really counts.

I really didn't know how Aidan would react to scissors coming at her head since she acts like a cat in a duffel bag when I try and comb her hair. I should have known Katie would be prepared. She handed Aidan her first sucker and it was smooth sailing from there. She sat in that chair like it was the most normal thing ever.

We didn't really get a good after picture because it was really just a trim and as you can see from her tongue, Aidan was hopped up on the 5 suckers she scammed from her Dad while I was getting my hair done.

Marathon Update

I finally uploaded pictures from our new camera and got everything figured out with my new computer. If you ever want to feel old and dumb try switching from a Dell to a Mac sometime. I really love my Mac now but it made me feel like I'd never used a computer before for a few days.

Since I'm weeks and weeks behind I'll just present an assorted jumble of pics from the last month and a half for you.

Aidan attended Vivian's 1st birthday and greedily plotted how to steal her presents.

Aidan watched football with Ben's side of the family on Thanksgiving with her underwear showing and her finger up her nose. Just like at real NFL games!

Aidan mastered the djembe.

Jazzercised with Aunta

Developed a healthy fear of cats from Uncle Ben (you have to enlarge this picture, her face is priceless)

Remained suspicious of cats

Chilled w/ Uncle Ben

Chilled with herself

I love our new camera

Next up: First haircut!

At least she's in good hands...

In the process of being passed around at the OC Lighting of the Commons on Monday night Aidan somehow ended up in a picture with the OC Nursing department. She looks kind of confused. I was off being a really good mom and talking to my friends so I'm not exactly sure how this chain of events occurred. I left Ben in charge!
