I would not have lasted an hour in medieval times. I hate not having electricity!!! We lost power on Sunday night then got it back Monday morning then lost it for most of the day again. Today we had power but our TV and internet were down. I am ashamed to admit that it makes me anxious to not be able to check e-mail etc. We have been a lot luckier than most people so I can't complain too much.
Also while we're on the subject of electronics and entertainment I would just like to say that when I agreed to give up cable there was no writer's strike. I feel that I was misled.

I'm sorry you guys have been without power! I'm with you on the whole email checking thing! I'm glad it's back on for you!
By the way, I saw on your bookshelf The Giver. It's my favorite book!! I just recently re-read it and love it!
