Pitiful

Poor Aidan has bronchitis and had to get a steroid shot today. I hate it when she feels bad. The shot wasn't as bad as usual though. She is fascinated by Dr. Stephens and as soon as he walked by she stopped screaming. She wanted to impress him.

I feel a little guilty about not taking Aidan to the doctor sooner. I don't know why I am so afraid to look like an idiot. I did the same thing when I was pregnant, which is why I was in labor for 12 hrs before I finally decided we should probably go to the hospital.

Sick...the sequel.

Ben is home but Aidan and I are sick. I think she just wanted to make him feel as bad as possible about leaving her for 10 days. She has a horrible cough and her little voice sounds so hoarse. She'll get better for a few hours and then goes downhill again. She is also cranky with a capital CRANK. Blogger won't let me upload pics right now so you'll just have to take my word for it.

In lieu of Easter pics...

My camera, as I have mentioned several times, is in the land of the rising sun so I thought I would treat you to a picture of Aidan a couple of weeks ago. This dress came from Anna Jane and Chris Perrey who are "bringing in the sheaves" in England at the moment. Do you think my baby has a little personality?

Puffs the magic finger food...

I am in love with the Gerber puffs. Aidan adores them and they take her forever to eat. 5 puffs on her highchair tray can entertain her while I get the dishes done. Now I don't really want to have to give my child food whenever I need to do ANYTHING, but for this week while Ben's in Japan they have been an absolute lifesaver.

I also fashioned some ghetto elbow pads for her now that she's doing the army crawl across the carpet. Her little arms get all red but I feel like she'll be too hot in 2 pairs of Baby Legs so I cut up some old socks. She kind of looks like Punky Brewster. I would show you but my camera is somewhere in Tokyo.

Happy St. Patrick's Day and Sayonara!

Ben leaves for Tokyo incredibly early tomorrow morning. Aidan is trying to figure out how to stow away. She will miss her Daddy so much!

Check out this for details about the MSB's trip to the Far East.

San Antonio...here we come!

Early in the morning I leave to have a wonderful four days with my amazing girlfriends. We're giving away Tamra into marriage (we've given our permission). Mandy and I fly out tomorrow and we are leaving our other 2 favorite girls behind. Although we will miss them so much they will be so much more comfortable, get better sleep, and be less cranky than if they came with us...and the same goes for their moms.

9 month Dr. Visit

Aidan now weighs 20.8lbs and she's 28 inches long. She's jumped up to the 75% on both. I think she's trying to catch up with her Dad, who was possibly the world's chubbiest baby. I have got to post some pictures of Ben and I as kids so you can marvel at how many chins he had and how huge my head was.

9 months

Aidan is officially 9 months old today...or so Babycenter would have me believe. I still have my doubts, how can she possibly be 9 months already? Babycenter also told me my baby was the size of a laptop once so I don't know if I trust them.

Woot!

Aidan got a place in Sonshine School this morning! I was so worried they wouldn't have room for her. Since I will be going back to working days in the fall I wanted to make sure that she would be in such a great program. Now I only have to find someone for 30 more hrs of babysitting hahahaha....sigh.

It's a hard decision to have someone else take care of her so much during the day but I think that it will be better for our family to have time all together. I know it will be better for our laundry and our oven misses being turned on.

Easter photoshoot with Mandy

Mandy did such a great job taking pictures of Aidan. We had so much fun laughing at her bunny ears. We also made the discovery that Aidan may be a little too interested in Vivian for Vivian's own safety. She realllllly wanted her bow. You can check out more of Mandy's photography here.

I suffered a bit of a shock this morning when I realized it was Aidan's last day in the nursery. I had convinced myself it was next week. I will admit I got a little emotional when I dropped her off in her big girl classroom. She was completely unfazed* as usual. She loves class and music in general. She has a particular affinity for the Friends theme song. She becomes transfixed as soon as she hears it on TV. What can I tell you, she loves The Rembrandts.

*Blogger is telling me that unfazed is not a word...morons.
